The average annual precipitation varies from 10 to 12 inches in the lower country to 12 to 14 inches on the north end.
The majority of the ranch is watered by a very strong spring that is located just above the north boundary on USDA Forest Service property. The ranch has a water right on this spring that is registered with the State Engineer’s Office. There are four wells on the ranch varying in depth from 100′ to nearly 300′. There is a very extensive watering system in place that serves the entire ranch with a more than adequate supply and distribution of fresh and seasonal water for livestock and wildlife.
