I was able to find a few hours on the day before Thanksgiving to make it up to Treasure Mountain for a little snowmobiling and am so glad that I did. For this time of year we have some great snow. The trails are looking great from all the people going up with the rental company’s and we have powder to play in everywhere.
I was up riding with some friends that I sold a home to and even though they had 3 new riders we only had one sled get stuck, it was a smaller short track snowmobile so don’t worry. If you can find time to make it up I would suggest that you got to the top to unload or the Treasure Mountain Rd (Forest Service Rd 725) That way you will have varied terrain for all levels of riding.
The lower Rd, Fall Creek (FS road 39) is kind of limited. Unless you are very advanced and have a high power sled you will have to pretty much stick to the road. If you are thinking about a trip for some fun here in the snow feel free to email mike@gallesproperties.com or call me 970-903-3431, I’d be happy to help you plan and recommend places to go.
